I had the original matcha with a pumpkin cheesecake croissant. I must say the croissant was huge and insane, and matcha tea was very flavorful and nice on such a cold day. Since I have no photos of my food, I decided to share some snaps from the coffee place! Highly recommend.

A cosy and inviting spot in the neighbourhood for drinks and a casual working session or some light reading. I've come here a few times and ordered several drinks and some of the food items. I think they make a mean hot chocolate, and I'll definitely come back for it because it is delicious! The service is good, but didn't wow me. The atmosphere is nice! The location is tucked away in a corner so it's quite quiet, and there's plenty of seating inside if you need to do some work and some nicer armchairs for more relaxed pursuits. I will be coming back!

I love all the Matchstick locations, but this one has to be my favourite. It truly feels like a neighbourhood spot, and always has a good mix of people working, chatting or dashing in to grab a cup to go. Sometimes it can be a bit noisy (especially on Holidays) but mostly people are respectful of keeping the noise down so others can work. There is a large cozy area at the front with comfy seats that works well for a large group, and there is a long table in the centre that could probably fit 20 ppl as well. Otherwise, mostly 2 person tables. The coffee is fantastic, the baristas are efficient and actually nice, and the FOOD is top tier. I especially recommend the Bacon Breakfast Sandwich - it has onion jam that really adds something special and they use good mayo (which I appreciate!). Also very kid friendly!

A gem for both coffee enthusiasts and remote workers! Their orange mocha is exceptional - perfectly balanced with subtle citrus notes that complement the rich espresso without overwhelming it. The ambience is exactly what you want in a work/study space - warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a calm atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between lively and peaceful. I've spent several productive hours here with my laptop and never felt rushed. Great attention to detail in both their coffee craft and space design. The natural light from their big windows makes it an ideal spot to settle in with a book or get some work done. Fast wifi and plenty of outlets are a bonus. Pro tip: Their orange mocha pairs wonderfully with any of their fresh-baked pastries.

Very inviting shop (lots of seating and appealing, earthy design) with friendly baristas. I visited once years ago and remember having a delicious lunch. Today I tried the lemon raspberry muffin and an iced horchata latte (seasonal). The muffin was fantastic: fresh, warm and soft. The latte was also good; the horchata syrup definitely evoked the cinnamon-y horchata flavour without being too sweet and the drink was very smooth. It's great that they're open early every day! I've also been to the location in Yaletown and had good experiences.

I really enjoyed the classic breakfast sandwich (for dinner!) and walnut cookie. The best part was the tea and coffee selection- high quality and interesting options. I had the oolong “wu long” tea… a little overpriced but a really nice floral tea so I felt it was worth it. Also there was plenty of comfortable seating so I was able to relax there for a while and enjoyed good wifi and a laid back atmosphere.

I entered here just to make time and I discover a really cool place. The hot chocolate was delicious, warm and so pretty. The bread was freshly baked and crunchy a bit sweet if you’re not used to eating a lot of sugar. But there are other options for you to choose. The staff is really nice and friendly.
